Cookie Policy
Activity Atlas is operated by mDropit Ltd, company number 16351304.
Version: 1.2 Last updated: 26 July 2026 Effective: 26 July 2026
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies store small pieces of information on your device or browser. They help websites and apps work, remember choices and protect accounts.
2. How Activity Atlas uses them
We aim to use only what we need. At this version, we do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
| Type | Examples | Purpose | Choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | authentication/session cookies, security tokens, anti-abuse controls | sign you in, keep sessions secure, protect forms and prevent abuse | always on |
| Payment-related | Stripe checkout/payment session data where you make a payment | complete checkout securely | required for paid checkout |
| Preference storage | map style, saved local choices, remembered search area, short-lived recent current-location cache in the mobile app, planner draft state | remember your choices and make the product usable | can be cleared in browser/device settings |
| Participant labels | optional planner labels such as names, nicknames or initials stored in local browser/app storage | show your own private labels without storing them as server-side participant names | optional; can be edited/removed |
| Cookie preference | your cookie choice | remember whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies | required to respect your choice |
| Analytics/performance | none enabled in this v1 policy | if introduced later, help improve the service | consent required before use |
The essential website authentication cookie can remain active for up to 90 days after your last authenticated use. Activity Atlas renews that period while you continue using your account and removes the cookie when you sign out.
3. Essential vs non-essential
Strictly necessary cookies and storage are needed for the service to work and do not require consent.
Non-essential analytics or similar technologies will only be used where you have been given a clear choice, unless the law allows otherwise. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and the cookie controls.
4. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some features may stop working if you block essential cookies.
You can also clear local storage in your browser/device. Clearing local storage may remove private participant labels, planner drafts, saved display choices or remembered search preferences from that device.
In the mobile app, a recent current-location fix may be kept only on your device for a short period so nearby searches can start faster. You can remove it by clearing app data, reinstalling the app or changing device permissions.
In the mobile app, you can control app permissions such as notifications and location through your device settings.
5. Changes
We will update this policy if our use of cookies, analytics or similar technologies changes.
